Christopher Gudger-Raines was appointed to the Mount Vernon School Board in August 2024 to complete a vacant term. Originally from West Virginia, he moved to Mount Vernon in 2021 and has two children in the district. He earned a BA in 1997, a master's degree in 2006, and a Master of Divinity from Drew Theological School. Gudger-Raines serves as a pastor at Mount Vernon First United Methodist Church. His experience in education includes being a volunteer, a summer literacy coordinator, and a para-educator. He is also a 2022 graduate of Leadership Skagit.
