Christopher W. Brooks was appointed as a District Court Judge for Judicial District 10F by Governor Josh Stein in March 2025. Prior to his appointment, he served as a Special Deputy Attorney General with the North Carolina Department of Justice, an organization he joined in 1998. His work has spanned the Criminal, Civil, Law Enforcement/Special Prosecution, and Transportation Divisions. Brooks earned his Bachelor's degree in political science and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994 and his Juris Doctor from Campbell Law School in 1998. He was born and raised in the Cary/Apex area and has been involved in numerous civic organizations, including the Governor's Highway Safety Program DWI Task Force, the Wake County Bar Board of Directors, and the Town of Cary Planning & Zoning Board.
