Christy E. Wilhelm is a judge for the 19A Judicial District, which serves Cabarrus County, North Carolina. She was appointed to the bench in March 2014 by Governor Pat McCrory. In November 2018, she was appointed Chief District Court Judge for the district, with the term beginning January 1, 2019. Prior to her judicial appointment, Wilhelm was a partner at the law firm Hartsell and Williams, P.A., and served as a law clerk for the North Carolina Court of Appeals. She earned her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her J.D. from Campbell University Law School.
