Chuck Payne is an incumbent Republican State Senator for Georgia, representing District 54. He began his service in the Georgia Senate on January 17, 2017. Currently, he chairs the Veterans, Military, and Homeland Security Committee. He also serves as Vice Chairman for both the Education and Youth Committee and the Science and Technology Committee, and is the Secretary for Higher Education. Additionally, he holds ex-officio positions on the Children and Families Committee and the Public Safety Committee.
