Clarence Moriwaki is an incumbent member of the Bainbridge Island City Council, with his current term set to expire on December 31, 2025. He graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Communications and moved to Bainbridge Island in 1997. His professional experience includes roles for President Bill Clinton, Governor Mike Lowry, and Congressman Jay Inslee. He has also served as a Tukwila City Council Member, CEO of the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Washington, and a broadcast journalist. Moriwaki is a founder and past president of the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Exclusion Memorial. He was named the 2017 Citizen of the Year by the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce.
