Clarissa Cervantes is a businesswoman and community leader currently serving on the Riverside City Council, representing Ward 2. Elected in 2021, she is the first woman, second Latina, and second openly LGBTQ person to represent the ward. On the council, she has focused on road repairs, small business support, open space protections, and affordable housing. Cervantes holds a bachelor's degree from CSU Northridge and a master's degree in urban and regional planning from Cal Poly Pomona.
