Cody Balogh is a graduate of Steilacoom High School, where he was a first-team all-conference athlete in football. He attended the University of Montana, playing college football where he was a team captain and named the university's Outstanding Offensive Lineman. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Chicago Bears in 2008. In college, he majored in health and human performance.
