Where does Coleman Erickson stand on the issues?

Coleman Erickson has a recorded position on 11 issues. Each is Coleman Erickson's own wording, written on their Civoren profile.

  • Affordable Housing

    Supports

RTD is well positioned to help develop affordable housing on property we own with existing transit connections. Housing and transportation are two sides of the same coin, and we must prioritize developing communities that bring these two as well as resources together for deeply accessible and equitable community.

  • AI Safety & Regulation

    Supports

It is important that we continue to protect our riders in a safe way that respects dignity and privacy. The board of directors must pass regulations on the use of AI surveillance technology in and around our transit vehicles and stations.

  • Cost of Living & Affordability

    Supports

Building a more affordable and equitable Colorado starts with more housing choice as well as more transit options to remove barriers to success and opportunity. Our bus and train network must be invested in to create this future.

  • DEI & Transgender Policy

    Supports

I am committed to upholding RTD's DEI and gender equality directives to foster a more equitable and safe agency to work for.

  • Disability Rights

    Supports

Para-transit services offered by RTD do not meet the needs of our disability communities and cost the agency more than any other service we provide. I believe the heart of quality para-transit starts with broader accessibility improvements across our bus and rail networks. For example, elevators and escalators at Denver Union Station and others are frequently out of service for weeks to months. Many of our bus stops do not have sidewalks to be accessed by or leave passengers dangerously vulnerable to oncoming traffic. A more accessible system benefits everyone, and means more people who require assistance today can be better served by our fixed route system, freeing up para-transit services to those who need it most.

  • Elder & Senior Protection

    Supports

We all deserve dignity in how we get around at any age. I am dedicated to making the experience of riding our transit system more accessible to those of all ability levels and more comfortable.
