Colleen Hinds

Colleen Hinds is a Democratic candidate for the Montana House of Representatives. A retired hospital nurse with a 40-year career, she moved to Heron, Montana, 50 years ago from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attributes her strong listening, critical thinking, and prioritization skills to her nursing background, believing they are essential for elected officials. Hinds is motivated to represent hard-working families and long-term residents whom she feels are currently unrepresented. She supports a fair tax system where wealthy individuals and corporations contribute adequately, preventing the elderly from being taxed out of their homes, and advocates for distributing government surpluses to enhance services like Medicare and school mental health programs.
