Craig Swallow is a working-class candidate born and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts. His grandparents and mother fled Portugal in the 1960s. He attended New Bedford Public Schools, Bristol Community College, and Bridgewater State University (B.S., 2010), and has worked in education, restaurant management, and community leadership — including as a substitute teacher and as general manager at Rose Alley Ale House in New Bedford. He returned to Massachusetts in 2023, co-led a local Indivisible chapter, and lives in New Bedford with his husband Mike. He is running on a platform of affordability and accountability.
