An incumbent since November 9, 2022, he is seeking re-election in the 2026 Alabama Primary Election for the same seat. Born and raised in Sawyerville, Alabama, Travis holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Alabama. Professionally, he is a builder and an assistant pastor. He is married to Dr. Jimmie Clark-Travis and they have two children. Travis assumed office after being elected unopposed in 2022, having previously defeated the then-incumbent in the Democratic primary.
