Cynthia "Cinde" Wirth is a teacher, scientist, and small business owner from Columbus, Indiana. She earned a Ph.D. in cultural and educational policy from Ball State University in 2025. Wirth previously worked as a high school biology and environmental science teacher and served as a congressional legislative fellow in Washington, D.C. She was the Democratic nominee for Indiana's 6th Congressional District in 2022 and 2024, and is running again for the seat in 2026.
