Dale Hawkins is an incumbent Republican State Representative for Idaho House District 2B, first elected in 2022 and currently serving his second term. He lives in Fernwood and represents Clearwater, Benewah, Shoshone, Kootenai, and Bonner counties. Hawkins is seeking a third term in the May 2026 Republican primary, campaigning on a platform of conservative values. He chairs the House Education Committee and serves on multiple other committees. His legislative priorities include strengthening gun rights, parental rights, and private property rights, as well as advocating for quality education choices and property tax relief. Prior to his state legislative service, Hawkins was active in local Republican Party leadership, owned a construction business, worked in logging, and served on the Fernwood water/sewer board.
