Dan Foreman is an incumbent Republican State Senator representing Idaho's District 6, which covers parts of Latah and Nez Perce counties. Born in Illinois, he earned a business degree from Bradley University before serving 30 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a colonel. He later worked as a Moscow police officer. Foreman previously served District 5 from 2016-2018 and has held his current District 6 seat since December 2022. He is seeking re-election in the May 2026 Republican primary. In the 2026 session, he is Vice Chair of the Senate Judiciary and Rules Committee and a member of the Senate Agricultural Affairs and Commerce and Human Resources committees.
