Dan Osman, a Democratic member of the Kansas House of Representatives for District 48 since July 2021, is seeking re-election in the August 2026 primary. Born in Overland Park, Kansas, he holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Kansas School of Law, where he earned his JD. An attorney, Osman previously served as a prosecutor in Jackson County, Missouri, and on the Hickman Mills Board of Education. He is currently the House Democratic Policy Chair. His policy stances include supporting appropriate business taxation for quality of life improvements, advocating for robust public education funding, and prioritizing Medicaid expansion to benefit Kansans' health and the state's economy.
