Gassaway holds a B.S. in biology from Morgan State University and an M.A. in education from Bowie State University. Having previously sought a seat on the county's Board of Education in 2006, he has long been an advocate for community issues. Motivated deeply by the tragic loss of his wife in a local traffic accident, Gassaway's campaign prioritizes government transparency, real accountability, economic opportunity, and ensuring safer neighborhoods.
