Daniel Becker was appointed to the Mercer Island City Council in June 2025 to fill a vacant seat. He is a graduate of Mercer Island High School and holds an undergraduate business degree from the University of Washington. During college, he co-founded a company which he grew to over 200 employees and where he currently serves as CTO and CFO. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Vice Chair of the Mercer Island Arts Council.
