Daniel Becker was appointed to the Mercer Island City Council in June 2024 to fill a vacant seat. He is a graduate of Mercer Island High School and holds an undergraduate business degree from the University of Washington. Becker is the co-founder, CTO, and CFO of a company he started during college, which has grown to over 200 employees. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Vice Chair of the Mercer Island Arts Council. He lives on the north end of the island with his husband and son.
