A proud son of Dorchester, Dan Hunt has represented Dorchester in the Massachusetts House of Representatives since 2014. Before his election, he worked in public policy, economic development, and infrastructure, including at the Massachusetts School Building Authority, the Legislature's Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies, and the Department of Conservation and Recreation. In the Legislature he chairs the Joint Committee on Election Laws, focused on election integrity and modernizing voter access, and co-chairs the Special Legislative Commission on Correctional Consolidation and Collaboration. He graduated from Boston Latin Academy, Boston College and Suffolk University Law School, and lives in Dorchester with his wife Rachel and their children Daniel and June.
