Daniel Joseph Ryan is a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives who has represented the 2nd Suffolk District since being sworn in on April 16, 2014, after winning a special election to succeed Eugene O'Flaherty. A Boston (Charlestown) resident, he and his wife Kara are Boston Public Schools parents; he previously worked as a congressional legislative aide in Washington, D.C., was a Teamsters member, and served as Teen Center Director at the Charlestown Boys and Girls Club.
