Daniel J Simonds

Daniel Simonds is a Democratic candidate for the Maine House of Representatives, District 73, with a primary election on June 9, 2026. Based in Rangeley, Maine, Simonds owns MixedWood LLC, a consulting firm specializing in third-party environmental standards for paper and wood products. His background in forestry includes over two decades, serving as an auditor for certification services like SFI, FSC, and PEFC, and as a silviculture manager for Mead Corp. He also helped lead the initial SFI certification program. A University of Maine alumnus, Simonds is a member of the Society of American Foresters and has volunteered with the Maine Appalachian Trail Club.
