Daniel Lancaster has a background of over 11 years in law enforcement, including serving as a Salisbury police sergeant and an undercover narcotics officer with the State Bureau of Investigation. He is currently a law enforcement training coordinator at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and owns a landscaping business. He also serves on the board of Rowan Helping Ministries. In March 2025, he was appointed as an interim county commissioner to fill a seat for a member deployed with the National Guard.
