Daniel R. Barrone is a former Mayor of Taos, serving from 2018 to 2022. He also served as a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives for the 42nd district from 2020 to 2021. Barrone earned a Bachelor of Arts in business from New Mexico State University. He has a long history in Taos County, having been elected as a county commissioner in 2006 and has worked for many years at Olguin's Sawmill. He did not seek a full term in the House in 2020, citing concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic's effect on Taos.
