Daniel Webster (born April 27, 1949, in Charleston, West Virginia) is a Republican businessman and politician who has represented Florida's 11th Congressional District since 2017. A 1971 Georgia Institute of Technology graduate in electrical engineering, he owns a family air-conditioning and heating business and resides in Clermont. Before Congress he served 28 years in the Florida Legislature (1980–2008), becoming the first Republican Speaker of the Florida House since Reconstruction and later Senate majority leader. First elected to the U.S. House in 2010, he announced in April 2026 that he would not seek re-election.
