With a 25-year career in healthcare education at Coppin State University, where she serves as the Chair of the Department of Nursing, Dr. Tolson brings extensive experience in healthcare and education to her platform. As the former president of the Baltimore County NAACP, she has been a dedicated advocate for civil rights and community well-being, leading initiatives in public safety and fair representation. Her work includes efforts to lower prescription drug costs, increase hospital staffing, and organizing COVID-19 vaccine outreach that was recognized by President Biden.
