Danny Greene Mathis

Danny Mathis, born Dana Greene Mathis on October 3, 1954, is an incumbent Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives for District 133, a position he assumed in 2025, following terms in Districts 144 and 149. A former medical examiner, coroner, and funeral home owner, Mathis attended Middle Georgia College and Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. He is married to Ellen Mathis and has three children. Mathis holds staunch conservative policy positions, strongly opposing abortion, believing all life is precious, and vigorously defending the Second Amendment right to bear arms. He is seeking re-election in the 2026 Georgia Primary Election.
