Danny Tarkanian, born December 18, 1961, is an American attorney, businessman, and Republican politician currently serving as an incumbent Douglas County Commissioner since 2021, having been re-elected in 2024. A political veteran, he has previously been the Republican nominee for Nevada Secretary of State, and Nevada's 3rd and 4th congressional districts. He is a candidate in the 2026 Nevada Attorney General election, running in the Republican primary. His policy positions include banning taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood, breaking up Big Tech companies, restoring the rule of law, supporting law enforcement, and enforcing immigration laws.
