Dante Pittman is a native of Wilson, North Carolina. He graduated from Fike High School and later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2018. Pittman serves as a Captain in the North Carolina Army National Guard. His professional experience includes working as the human relations director for the City of Wilson and as a grant writer for Barton College. He was an inaugural fellow of the Lead for North Carolina program at the UNC School of Government. Before his election to the House, he chaired the Wilson County Department of Social Services Board of Directors and served on the boards of several community organizations, including the Wilson Education Partnership.
