Darrell S. Mavis is a candidate for Judge of the Superior Court Office No. 162 in Los Angeles County, California — 2026 Primary Election. Running as Nonpartisan.

Darrell S. Mavis was appointed to the Superior Court of California in 2006. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1988 and his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 1991. He also studied politics, philosophy, and economics at Oxford University. Prior to his appointment, he served as a prosecutor for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for 14 years, trying over 100 jury trials. He also worked for the U.S. Department of Justice as an attorney liaison in the Office of International Affairs. Judge Mavis has been an adjunct faculty member at Southwestern Law School since 1996 and a lecturer at USC Gould School of Law since 2015. He has presided over more than 100 jury trials as a judge and for over a decade, he supervised 40 judges in the Pasadena, Burbank, Glendale, and Alhambra courthouses.
