Darwin "Duke" Williams is an incumbent Scotland County Commissioner for the Stewartsville district, with his current term ending in December 2026. He was elected to a four-year term in 2022. Before serving as a commissioner, Williams had a 30-year career in law enforcement, retiring as the Laurinburg Police Chief on June 1, 2022. He has also served as the district safety officer for Scotland County Schools and was a member of the Scotland County Schools Board of Education from 2007 to 2014.
