David Sieck is an incumbent Republican State Representative for Iowa's District 16. Born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on June 27, 1957, he is a farmer and real estate agent. Sieck first assumed office as a State Representative on February 16, 2015, initially representing District 23 before transitioning to District 16 in 2023. He resides in Glenwood, Iowa, with his wife, Kim, and they have three children. Currently, he serves on the Agriculture, Economic Growth and Technology, and Transportation standing committees, and is Vice Chair for the Appropriations Subcommittee on Federal and Other Funds. He is seeking re-election in the Republican primary on June 2, 2026.
