David G. Haggan is an incumbent Maine State Senator for District 10, a position he assumed in December 2024. A Republican, he is seeking re-election in the 2026 primary. Haggan previously served four terms in the Maine House of Representatives. He is a career middle school social studies teacher, having earned his B.S. from the University of Maine in 1989. Residing in Hampden with his wife Kimberly, he is known for his involvement with local clubs, the NRA, and the Anah Shrine. In the legislature, he has served on the Judiciary and Health Coverage, Insurance, and Financial Services committees. He sponsored a bill for STEM competition programs and voted against tax adjustments and minimum wage for agricultural workers, while supporting tax credits for minor league baseball facilities.
