David Gowan Sr. is a Republican politician from Arizona, currently serving in the Arizona State Senate for District 19. He previously held a Senate seat for District 14 and served in the Arizona House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017, including as Speaker of the House from 2015 to 2017. Prior to politics, Gowan was a magazine distributor and karate instructor. He is a resident of Sierra Vista and is campaigning for the Arizona House of Representatives, District 19, in the 2026 Primary Election. He sponsored the House version of Arizona SB 1070.
