David Kelsey Baker Sr. is a candidate for NC District Court Judge District 10B Seat 01 in Raleigh, North Carolina — 2026 Primary Election. Running as Democratic Party.

David Baker was appointed as a District Court Judge for the Tenth Judicial District in Wake County by Governor Roy Cooper in 2019 and was elected to a full four-year term in 2022. Prior to his appointment, he was in private practice for nearly ten years, focusing on criminal defense and personal injury. He also worked as a staff attorney with Legal Aid of North Carolina for three years after being selected as a Community Lawyer Fellow in 2007. Before law school, he was a program coordinator for non-profit organizations. Judge Baker earned his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1996 and his J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law.
