David M. Rogers has represented the 24th Middlesex District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives since January 2, 2013 (first elected in 2012) and serves as House Chair of the Joint Committee on Higher Education. He is an attorney who graduated from Ithaca College (economics) and earned his JD with honors from American University's Washington College of Law, then practiced as a business lawyer in Boston for 16 years, including at a biotechnology company and a clean-energy startup. Earlier he worked as an economic analyst at Wharton Econometric Forecasting and on the Clinton/Gore transition team and the White House health care reform task force, and in the congressional office of Rep. Eva Clayton. He is a member of the House Progressive Caucus, Zero Waste Caucus, Food Systems Caucus, and METCO Caucus.
