David Monson, born July 30, 1950, is an incumbent Republican State Representative for North Dakota's District 19. A self-employed farmer, retired school administrator, and former insurance agent/owner, Monson was first elected to the State House in 1992, representing District 10 before serving District 19 since 2022. He previously held leadership roles as Speaker and Assistant Majority Leader of the House. An alumnus of North Dakota State University, he also served on the Osnabrock School Board. Monson is seeking re-election in the 2026 Republican primary, aiming to continue his decades of public service.
