David Orentlicher

David Orentlicher is an incumbent Democratic member of the Nevada State Assembly, serving since 2020, and is seeking re-election in 2026. He previously served in the Indiana House of Representatives. Professionally, Orentlicher is the Judge Jack and Lulu Lehman Professor of Law and director of the Health Law Program at the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law. He holds degrees from Brandeis University, Harvard Medical School, and Harvard Law School. His policy focus includes expanding reproductive healthcare access, increasing substance use treatment, reducing healthcare costs, and enhancing affordable housing. He has also advised presidential campaigns and published extensively on constitutional and health law.
