David Ross is a Deputy Alternate Public Defender in Los Angeles County with 30 years of experience as a public defender in both Los Angeles and Riverside Counties. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law. Before his legal career, he worked as a television news reporter and documentary producer for a decade and as a legislative aide in the U.S. House of Representatives. He has also served as a Judge Pro Tem for Los Angeles County and as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Western State University College of Law.
