David Sessions is an incumbent Republican member of the Alabama State Senate, representing District 35. He first assumed office on November 7, 2018, and was re-elected in 2022. He is currently running for re-election in the 2026 Republican primary, though the primary for this office was canceled. Prior to his tenure in the State Senate, Sessions served as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives for District 105 from 2011 to 2018. A farmer by profession, Sessions was born in Grand Bay, Alabama. In the Senate, he has chaired key committees including Agriculture and Forestry, and Mobile County Legislation, and also served on the Ethics and Campaign Finance committee.
