He earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Redlands. Stuebe was appointed to the Washougal City Council in March 2021, elected to the position and named mayor pro tem in November 2021, and subsequently appointed Mayor in September 2022. He has lived in Washougal since 2007. In November 2024, he was elected to the Washington House of Representatives for the 17th district, an office he assumed in January 2025.
