David W. Blomstrom is a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, seeking to represent Washington's 7th Congressional District in the August 4, 2026 primary as a member of the Fifth Republic Party. A graduate of Western Washington University/Huxley in 1983 with a degree in applied ecology, his professional background includes work as a wildlife biologist for entities like the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, as well as a teacher in the Seattle school district. He is also a writer and website designer. Blomstrom has a history of political candidacies in Washington State, having previously run for Governor in 2016 and multiple times for the Seattle Public Schools board of directors (1999, 2007, 2015). He advocates for principles of independent, people-powered, anti-corruption, and civil campaigns.
