Dawn Zimmerman

Dawn Zimmerman is a Republican candidate in Maryland running for the St. Mary's County Commission to represent District 4. She previously campaigned for the same seat during the 2022 election cycle. In the 2022 Republican primary, she competed against Scott R. Ostrow but was defeated after receiving approximately forty-five percent of the vote. Zimmerman has since launched a new campaign and filed to run in the upcoming 2026 primary election. Her official campaign committee is registered as Citizens for Dawn Zimmerman. She remains an active participant in local politics, seeking to represent the residents of St. Mary's County.
