Dawne Lindsey is a Republican currently serving as the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Allegany County, Maryland. First appointed to the position in July 2001, she made history as the county's first female Clerk and has since been repeatedly elected by voters. A native of Mt. Savage, Lindsey earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from West Virginia University. Dedicated to the judicial system, she became a Fellow of the National Center for State Courts in 2019 and served as president of the Maryland Circuit Court Clerks' Association. Lindsey and her husband, Gary, reside in Frostburg and have two children.
