Dean Fisher is an incumbent Iowa State Representative for District 53, a position he has held since first being elected in 2012. A Republican from Montour, he previously spent 26 years as an electronics engineer and business manager. Fisher has served as chair of his county's Republican Party and as Indian Village Township Clerk. In the 91st General Assembly, he chairs the House Environmental Protection Committee and serves on the Agriculture, Public Safety, and Natural Resources committees. His priorities for the 2026 legislative session include fiscal responsibility, reducing wasteful spending, and working on common-sense solutions to make Iowa a better place to live and raise a family.
