Dean Hachamovitch moved to Clyde Hill with his family in 2001. He worked at Microsoft for 24 years, where he was a corporate vice president in charge of the Internet Explorer team. During his time at Microsoft, he was involved in the invention of technologies like AutoComplete and AutoCorrect. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from Harvard University. Before his election to the City Council in 2021, he served on the City's Budget Advisory Committee. He also co-founded The Clyde Hill Police Foundation, a non-profit organization.
