Dean Takko

Dean Allen Takko was born in Ilwaco, Washington, on July 9, 1950. He earned an Associate of Arts degree from Lower Columbia College in 1970 and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Planning from Western Washington University in 1972. His career in public service includes serving on the Cathlamet City Council, as the assessor for Wahkiakum County, and as the assessor for Cowlitz County from 1999 to 2004. Takko represented the 19th District in the Washington House of Representatives from 2005 to 2015 and the Washington State Senate from 2015 to 2021 as a member of the Democratic Party. He currently holds the position of Commissioner for Position 2 on the Beacon Hill Water and Sewer District board, with his term running through December 31, 2025.
