Debra Losnick is a judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in California. She was appointed to the bench by Governor Jerry Brown in June 2018. Prior to her appointment as a judge, she served as a Commissioner for the court, having been elected to that position by the judges in 1996. Her career with the court began in 1990 when she served as a juvenile court referee. Before her judicial service, she worked as contract county counsel for the Los Angeles Office of County Counsel from 1986 to 1990 and was an associate at Nossaman, Gunther, Knox and Elliott in 1986. Losnick earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her J.D. from Southwestern Law School.
