Delano Palmer, originally from Houston, Texas, moved to Ellensburg in 2018. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science in Construction Management from Purdue University. Before his current role, he worked for over 11 years as a construction project manager in various sectors. He is the Director of Capital Planning and Projects at Central Washington University. Palmer was appointed to the City Council in February 2024. He is also involved in the community as a board member for Kittitas County Habitat for Humanity and a member of the Ellensburg Morning Rotary Foundation.
