Dennis C. Gallagher is a Democrat representing the 8th Plymouth District (Bridgewater and Raynham) in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. A U.S. Navy veteran (1981–1985), he earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Worcester State College in 1989 and a master's degree in public administration from Suffolk University's School of Management in 1996. He worked in the insurance industry, served as Assistant Treasurer for Plymouth County and later as Director of the Braintree Retirement System, and has served as a Bridgewater Town Councilor and an elected Massachusetts Democratic State Committeeman.
