Dennis C. McVey has served the City of Rainier as a Council Member, a Planning Commissioner, and as Chairman of the Rainier Arts Commission. He was sworn into the council in August 2019 to fill a vacancy. He grew up in Michigan and moved to Washington in 1976, living in the Tacoma area, Yelm, and outside Rainier before moving into the city. He donates his council stipend to support Rainier Parks.
